Important Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates and information for Middy’s customers
Walkinshaw Andretti United has announced Warren Luff as co-driver for the 2021 Repco Bathurst 1000. Luff re-joins the Team for an eighth season, fresh off the back of a 2020 Bathurst 1000 podium and will partner Bryce Fullwood in the Mobil 1 Middy’s Racing No. 2 entry.
Walkinshaw Andretti United have today revealed the livery for Bryce Fullwood’s Mobil 1 Middy’s Racing No. 2 Supercar. The fresh pink and blue colour scheme on a gloss black base, sees the iconic bonnet position of Mobil 1 return, with Middy’s Electrical down both sides of the car. Car 2 hit the track for the first time in 2021 at Winton Motor Raceway today, as Bryce Fullwood took his first rookie day for the year.
Middy’s are pleased to announce the continued support of Bryce Fullwood and Walkinshaw Andretti United racing team for the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship Season as one of the Team’s Co-Naming Rights Partner. Middy’s have been a long-standing supporter of Bryce from his early racing days and are proud to continue this great relationship.
After qualifying 13th, Bryce made it to the shootout and was 5th quickest. He didn’t have a set of greens to use, so his lap was impressive against 14 others with new tyres.
On 28 June at the BP Ultimate Sydney SuperSprint, Bryce surprised even himself by clinching his first top 10 solo result in his Supercars Championship career. This was after Bryce had a disappointing Adelaide debut way back in February, when he collected the Turn 11 wall in both races. Bryce had this to say, “If someone had said to me ‘you’re going to come 10th’ going into this weekend I would have told them you’re kidding."
Bryce has claimed his first ever Dunlop Super2 Series championship in the penultimate round with an unassailable lead to cap a hugely successful year.
The win was a massive boon for Bryce, as it was his best race result since his maiden round podium finish at Newcastle in 2017.
