Middy's supported Green Edge Technologies by providing an EnergyTrust proposal.

An environmentally aware property investor, Brendan Sullivan required a solar solution for his commercial building located on Police Rd, Mulgrave. The building has a ground level car park and two levels on top comprising commercial space divided into 4 tenancies.

Brendan approached Benn Simpson of Green Edge Technologies to come up with a solar solution for his building. Green Edge Technologies is a progressive electrical consulting company with extensive experience in alternative energy supply technologies. Benn proposed a solar PV system to provide power to the tenancies in order to reduce outgoings and minimise greenhouse gas emissions. The project consisted of a total of 100kW of solar panels spread across two electricity meters with a 60kW group and a 40kW group, enabling multiple tenants to receive the solar generated power benefits.
 
Benn used Middy’s EnergyTrust® software to present the solution as a clear proposal to the customer enabling a quick and easy decision to proceed. The EnergyTrust® software uses customers energy bills and usage data to generate custom project proposals that are specific to individual requirements. For the owner, the outcome is a building which is more attractive to tenants with a solar PV system on the roof that reduces overall electricity costs and the carbon footprint. The metrics achieved were a $26K saving, 47% bill reduction and a 3.5 year payback.
