A major redevelopment project to transform a long-vacant supermarket into a state-of-the-art IGA + Liquor.

Client: Stonemans Village IGA + Liquor, Strath Village Shopping Centre Middy’s Partner: Tony Turnbull, Middy’s Lighting Specialist.

Stonemans Holdings Pty Ltd took on a major redevelopment project to transform a long-vacant supermarket into a state-of-the-art IGA + Liquor. With a complete gutting of the building, they needed a full electrical rewiring from the ground up.

Dixons Electrical Pty Ltd was engaged by Matt O’Toole from MXO Contracting to handle the entire electrical installation. The project required new mains cables, CT metering, switchboards for lighting and power, mechanical services and refrigeration.

With the ceiling removed to achieve a modern, warehouse-style aesthetic, a high-quality lighting solution was critical. That’s where Middy’s Lighting came in. Paul Dixon from Dixons Electrical reached out to Tony Turnbull, Middy’s Lighting Specialist, to design a custom lighting solution that would complement the store’s sleek, modern look while ensuring full compliance with exit and emergency lighting regulations. Paul and his team, including Will Pollard, Shane Harnden and Neil Mathews, used precision laser measurements to ensure the track lighting was perfectly aligned.
