Middy's has partnered with the RCD Foundation to help change the odds for kids facing brain cancer.

Middy's has proudly partnered up with the Robert Connor Dawes (RCD) Foundation to help change the odds for kids facing brain cancer, the #1 disease killer of young people.

Inspired by a big heart and brain, the Robert Connor Dawes (RCD) Foundation was created in June 2013 in memory of Robert "Connor" Dawes who at just 18 years of age, lost his 16 month battle with brain cancer. The foundation is battling paediatric brain cancer, which kills more children than any other disease, by funding research, care and development projects to fund the science to end paediatric brain cancer and support patients in the meantime.

Celebrating ten years on 11 September was Connor’s Run, Australia’s largest event for paediatric brain cancer. A team of 30 staff, family and friends from the Middy's National Branch Support Centre took part, either running or walking over 9.6kms from St Kilda to Federation Square in Melbourne. The Middy’s Monster was there to cheer everyone on. It was a fabulous day and fun was had by all. We look forward to participating next year with a bigger team across the whole branch network. To date we have raised a total of $5,729, placing us in the Top 10 Fundraisers for Corporate Teams. Congratulations to our top fundraisers, in particular Natalie Watkins who raised over $600.
