Ben Beel, owner of Beel Electrical based in Dromana, was challenged with the task of design and construct of both the Electrical motor control as well as how to source a solution for the safety systems. As this was a patent design and custom build fit for purpose project, we were challenged with designing a system that was not only safe and compliant but also did not hinder the operator of the equipment. With assistance from Dean Sullivan, Middy’s Industrial BDM, we came up with a solution using an Allen Bradley Safety Zone Laser Scanner. This was designed and constructed by Kieran East from Beel Electrical with the custom-made safety control board built and wired into a floor housing. The scanner enabled the user to select between three configurations that ensured safe operation when it came to all configurations of the machine.

Electrician Ben Beel reached out to the Middy’s Rosebud team who alongside Middy's Industrial BDM Dean Sullivan assisted in selecting and sourcing the right products including an Allen Bradley Safety Zone Laser Scanner for the Safety Control Board build.
