Bryce Scores Supercars Podium in Tasmania
The weekend started strong for the Middy's No.14 Camaro, coming 7th in Practice 1 and 4th in Practice 2. The confidence in the car coming off those sessions allowed race engineer Phil and Bryce to approach the rest of the weekend with a lot of momentum.

A red flag in Qualifiers for Race 17 meant that the Middy's No.14 Camaro never completed a full lap and ended up 12th. Bryce worked his way up the field as he usually does, and squeezed through to finish 10th.

Sunday started off strong with the 4th fastest time in Practice 3, and the Prince of Darwin went into Qualifiers with lots of speed - coming out with a P6 start for Race 18.

As the race gun sounded, Bryce diced his way through the pack to solidify 5th right at the start. Then it became a game of patience for the young Darwin-born driver.

Drama unfolded in the leader's pack, and Bryce managed to stay clear and hold his nerve to end up third at the line.

This marks Bryce's first podium with Brad Jones Racing, and his second overall with Supercars

Bryce on what this podium means to him:

"Obviously it means a lot. We all put our blood, sweat and tears into our racing, you know, we do absolutely everything we can.

This sport has a knack of really kicking you when you're down. And well, for us, at our team, we've really struggled this first part of the year. We had a really good Bathurst [500] and then from there, it's been really, really tough. And obviously we're really strong last year, and we just haven't quite been on top of the cars. And you know, the guys have had a really big last couple of weeks.

The guys and girls at BJR, haven't slept a lot in the last couple of weeks, and have done a lot of work. And they've really turned some stuff around for us. I can really see the grit in the team, like they really wanted this. And so it's awesome to be able to repay them for all the hard work. And look forward to trying to continue to form on into the enduros."

Middy's is proud to have sponsored Bryce from his day's go-karting to his first season in the Supercars in 2020, and we are keen to watch Bryce as he looks to continue the year strong.
